Noonlight is a security and emergency response feature that provides users with a fast way to get help in emergency situations.

After acquisition, Noonlight was integrated into the Alarm.com mobile app as ‘Safety Button’. Safety Button allows users to discreetly alert emergency responders or call for assistance with a simple press of a button or a trigger event.

As the lead on the Safety Button integration project, I was responsible for crafting the user journey and overseeing the overall design strategy and implementation of the user experience. I collaborated closely with stakeholders, project managers, and engineers to ensure the successful execution of the project.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

User Journey Development: I led the design and mapping of the user journey, ensuring seamless and intuitive experiences for users in emergency situations.

Stakeholder and Cross-Functional Collaboration: Worked closely with key stakeholders, project managers, and engineering teams to align on project goals, functionality, and integration requirements, ensuring the project met all technical and user needs.

Design Strategy: Directed the design strategy, balancing user-centric design principles with technical feasibility. I crafted wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups that reflected the core features of the Safety Button service, such as silent alerts and real-time emergency response tracking.

Implementation Oversight: Guided the implementation of the user experience design, ensuring the seamless integration of the Safety Button within various apps and devices. I ensured that the design was intuitive, discreet, and easy to use during high-stress situations.

Continuous Improvement: Worked alongside teams to gather user feedback and iteratively improve the product’s features and design, enhancing its impact on user safety.

This project allowed me to lead a multidisciplinary team in creating a crucial safety feature, ultimately making it easier for users to access emergency help discreetly and quickly. The successful launch of this feature greatly enhanced user trust and satisfaction.

As the lead on the Smart Arming Automation project, I played a key role in shaping the design strategy, collaborating with stakeholders, project managers, and engineers to ensure its successful development and implementation. I led the initiative to enhance the user experience by automating security system arming, allowing users to manage their security settings more seamlessly and intelligently.

Design Strategy Leadership: I led the design strategy, ensuring that the automation feature aligned with user needs for convenience and security. My approach balanced simplicity with powerful functionality, creating an intuitive experience for users while meeting technical requirements.

Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Worked closely with stakeholders, project managers, and engineers to define and prioritize the project’s objectives, ensuring alignment on goals and seamless integration of the automation feature into existing systems.

Feature Enhancement Defense: I presented and defended the reasoning for enhancing the arming feature by demonstrating its value in terms of user convenience, improved security, and overall user satisfaction.

User Experience Implementation: Led the creation of user flows, wireframes, and prototypes that demonstrated the feature’s capabilities, such as automatic arming based on location or time-based triggers. I ensured the implementation process remained true to the user-centric design vision.

This project allowed me to successfully lead the development and enhancement of a smart, automated security feature that improved the convenience and safety of users.

As the lead on the Elevator Feature integration project, I was responsible for driving the design strategy and ensuring a seamless, user-friendly experience for the mobile app's new functionality. I collaborated closely with project managers and engineers to ensure the feature was developed and implemented successfully, meeting both technical and user needs.

As the lead on the Access Plan Dashboard revamp project, I was responsible for driving the design strategy and ensuring a user-friendly, intuitive experience for the redesigned dashboard. I collaborated closely with project managers and engineers to ensure that the updated design met both user needs and technical requirements, resulting in a more efficient and effective tool for managing access plans at a glance.

Implementation and Testing: Worked closely with engineers during the implementation phase to ensure smooth integration of the new design.

This project successfully transformed the Access Plan Dashboard into a more powerful and user-friendly tool, significantly enhancing the experience for users managing access plans and driving greater efficiency within the system.

As the lead on the Clip Download project, I was responsible for guiding the design strategy and ensuring the feature was both user-friendly and seamlessly integrated into the existing system. I worked closely with project managers and engineers to ensure successful development, delivering a feature that added value to the user experience and met technical requirements.

Design Leadership: Led the design of the Clip Download, focusing on an intuitive interface that allowed users to easily select, download, and manage clips. I created user flows and high-fidelity designs to ensure smooth integration with the platform’s existing interface.

Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Partnered with project managers and engineers to define the project scope, technical requirements, and timelines. I ensured the design was aligned with the system’s capabilities, balancing user experience with technical feasibility.

User-Centered Approach: Designed the feature with the user in mind, ensuring a seamless and straightforward process for downloading clips.

This was a redesign and development of a client’s previous website. The goal was to build a website that was responsive to make the brand and its product look more modern while helping them stand out against the competition. Moblie design was a priority as many of their customers find them through mobile platforms.

By collaborating with the client throughout the project we built a final product that had the user and accessibility in mind while showcasing a fun brand.
